Full-Day Nuuksio Tour From Helsinki

We had an amazing hiking trip in Nuuksio National Park, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Our guide, Mikko, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable—he shared so much about Finnish nature, wildlife, and traditions in a way that was both engaging and informative. You could really tell he loves what he does. The hike was thoughtfully personalized to suit our needs, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was gathering around a campfire in the forest, where we tasted some delicious Finnish specialties. We also had the chance to swim in a crystal-clear lake—an absolutely magical moment of peace and connection with nature. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Helsinki. It’s the perfect way to explore the beauty of Finnish nature and learn about local traditions in an authentic and memorable way.

Finland at its best! Helsinki is a wonderful city, but to miss the pristine lakes and forests of the Finnish countryside is to miss a lot of what Finland is about. That is why we were so fortunate to have Mikko as our guide to explore the Finnish countryside. We loved everything about the day we spent with him: the hike itself, the incomparable landscape, the flora and fauna discussions, Mikko's insights into Finnish culture, the lunch preparations (chopping wood and building a fire), and the delicious lunch itself. Mikko planned everything expertly, and adjusted the hike according to our ages (late seventies) and our abilities. He ensured we had a safe and memorable hike. Highly recommend!
